The more people understand about the struggles of someone powerful, the more people understand about culture. Being a dark skin toned individual, Remo remembered, he had been called names. Along with the Dance guru also disclosed he confronted this not just in India but also overseas. Remo D’Souza disclosed he could be plagued with racial slurs but might dismiss it.
In a meeting with Times of India, Remo D’souza contradicted his ordeal. “I’ve faced racism and bias as a result of my skin color ever since my youth. It’s a subject I have dealt with quite closely and seasoned it whenever I went overseas.
I was able to simply ignore it since I thought that perhaps they’re saying it because I seem a particular way,” the Dance Plus super judge stated. “Finally, once I grew up, I knew that this was incorrect and the fact I was letting them call me those names was worse! I stand up for this and will not take it out of anybody. In addition, I believe those remarks in my skin colour compelled me to become who I am now so no one could call me these names . However, racism still is; visit a little village or town and it’s there,” Remo added.
Meanwhile, this past year in December, Remo D’Souza along with his household had been in for a rude and utter shock once the choreographer turned director suffered in an hidden and unlucky heart attack from the blue. He needed to undergo urgent operation for exactly the same. After arriving home, Remo had disclosed that he had been barred from extreme exercise sessions. But slowly and slowly, he’s returned to the fitness center.
