As we get nearer to Red Dead Redemption II’s launch on October 26, Rockstar Games has been revealing valuable nuggets of advice about its enormous sandbox. But the majority of the game remains a puzzle. Since Red Dead Redemption II is place twelve years prior to the first, there’s a fair piece we know about its own world and the people who inhabit it. In the end, that the Van der Linde Gang narrative is a catastrophe that will lead to betrayal and death. Red Dead Redemption is nearly ten years old, therefore we dust off some memories and reexamine the finer points of those recognizable characters to envision what we could see in Red Dead Redemption II.
John Marston
Red Dead Redemption II is put in 1899, therefore John is about 26 years old and a dad (and likely a husband). He can not let something pass with no wise opinion and isn’t reluctant to fix issues with his gun. But he might acquire some more than along with his unbreakable sense of devotion, earnest compassion for the downtrodden, and his admiration for virtue regardless of social status, race, creed, or sex.
Section of this Gang: A orphan searching for household and significance in existence found a father figure in Dutch. The gang leader was ready to instruct him also control his anger, devotion, and naivety to make him think he had been making a better, purer, world one bank robbery at one time. Not everybody in the group is as content using John as Dutch, however. Back in Red Dead Redemption, Bill remembers meanly which John” always failed to have a high view” of himself and Javier convinced Allied to leave John to expire in a botched robbery. A mistake that would return to haunt them twelve decades later.
Bill Williamson
A bully in his heart, Bill Williamson is idiotic and bad-tempered. He has to have had some redeeming qualities, however. John Marston appears the most reluctant about murdering Bill in Red Dead Redemption and easily counts him as a brother. Rockstar signs that Bill has been dishonorably discharged from the army. Unsurprising, seeing as he dislikes being arranged around and fully lacks self-control. If he sees red, Bill out lashes, regardless of the results. Dignity and honor are not high on his priority list; he grovels to divert John from shooting him Red Dead Redemption simply to assault while John’s guard is down. He clearly does not think things through since grabbing for his gun meant certain death. Possibly, feeling helpless, spite wins in the ending and Bill just needs to shoot John with him into the tomb.
Section of this Gang: At the group, Bill can gratify his abusive tendencies and pull his readily injured ego by threatening other people. Dutch likely discovered Bill’s stupidity, but intellect is not just an essential part of a strong-armed robbery. Furthermore, if Bill has been given a dishonorable discharge, the gang could have been a sanctuary from ruling and an opportunity to wreak havoc on the entire world. When the gang disbanded, Bill directed his own merry guys until he turned into a large enough issue for the authorities to intervene. He could not — or did not wish to — maintain his men under control, forcing the government’s hand. Agent Ross sought out John and he started the systematic destruction of their rest ex-gang members.
Javier Escuella
His antics at Red Dead Redemption paint an image of a resourceful hypocrite. We are aware that his dad was a drunk that functioned on another guy’s farm in Mexico and Javier got caught up in a revolution before linking the Van der Linde Gang. Javier has a way with words and also will sweet-talk his way from an issue with a simple laugh and a killer poker face. He isn’t above letting others do the fighting or sinking into an underhanded trick in case it accomplishes his objective. He’s fine with placing his own childhood prior to ideals and compatriots.
Dutch might have had any level-headed charmers, such as Javier, to carry on more diplomatic drawbacks. Javier could be instrumental in leading the gang to destroy in Red Dead Redemption because John condemns him together with Dutch for going mad and betraying him.
In van der Linde’s head, he’s saving his group members by the atrocities of culture. As an example, life on the frontier the only pure and honest means to call home. He’s smart and effective at dramatic mental gymnastics when, in his thoughts, the ends justify the means. Dutch is a powerful adversary, a fantastic shooter, morally flexible, and a skilled strategist. He’s also terrifyingly calculating and will steer a scenario in his favor by manipulating his competitor. Dutch is effective at affably exchanging pleasantries while holding a gun into a youthful woman’s mind before shooting her and peacefully strolling from the space. He likely pats himself on the back for inventing such an excellent escape cover, realizing that everybody will check about the girls before coming.
Section of this Gang: As chief, Dutch fans the fires of the self-worth whilst fighting the soul-crushing advancement of culture as well as the tyranny of political authority. He’s a father figure to the gang; an outlaw describes its members as the sons of Dutch. Though originally, Dutch appears to need a better life for everybody, things finally start to unravel. Back in Red Dead Redemption, John accuses Dutch of shooting a lot of individuals”unfair such as” and left-handed his gang relatives following a robbery gone wrong. Red Dead Redemption II will probably concentrate on the problems wrapped up at the Van der Linde Gang earlier that eventful holdup.
A person who grew up with protection or family, her years dealing with suspicious characters in pubs and brothels left her a student of human behavior and can quickly see an area. Her hard exterior hides a dedicated partner and, after making her trust, she’s a stalwart ally. It is no secret which she slept with many members of their Van der Linde Gang, but at eighteen years old, she had a boy with John Marston. Though none for sweetness, Abigail is obviously fair and has a pleasant feeling of wrong and right. Make the incorrect move, however, and she’ll prove more callous than most of the male compatriots.
Section of this Gang: To get a young woman without a dwelling, the gang lifestyle was a step upward. Due to Dutch’s gangs could escape in the brothels and get just a tiny service over her lifetime. Dutch could have recognized that a strong-willed and callous person could just better the bunch. Grateful for liberty, she’d work hard for your own gang and kill if required.
Jack Marston
Curious and bookish, he feels just like John does not see him as a true guy. In general, Jack is good-hearted — if the angst of childhood is not acting up. He enjoys his parents remembers his time with all the gang lovingly. Jack describes Bill and Javier as uncles and reminisces about their experience tales, meaning that he was kept fairly insulated from any true gang activities. The apple does not fall far from the tree, Jack is hot-headed, reveals profound esteem for girls, values education, speaks frankly, also gives respect to people who make it.
Dutch likely saw the possibility in getting somebody entirely committed to — and increased by –the gang. Abigail voiced a deep urge in Red Dead Redemption to give Jack a much better life and might have battled with John about fleeing the gang to present their son a fair future.
Uncle
Among the earliest members of this gang, Uncle, whose actual name is unknown, is a mythical lay-about. He has an affinity for ingesting and only a fool would rely on him to finish a job. Regardless of this, he’s got a knack for ingratiating himself with significant men and women. Although his slippery manners are bothersome, he’s a kind man, proficient shot, along with a capable horseman. Uncle’s sour sarcasm belies his attachment for all those around him in dire conditions, he defends his loved ones. You have the feeling that the worker never missed a meal when he had the option. In Red Dead salvation II, he’s stuffed himself into extended underwear, not having felt the need to place more effort into grooming than necessary.
Section of this Gang: Easy lifestyle, easy cash, and simple delights. It is not difficult to determine why Uncle may have united the gang but they let him remain is a puzzle. Uncle is not particularly useful but adopted the entire life and has been a good shooter. After John and Abigail broke away in the gang to begin a new life, Uncle arrived together with them.
